Dark Star Survivor pre-Alpha
This is my first game developed in C with Raylib! It's pre-alpha and I hope to wrap up development in 2025. I'm working on this part-time as I spend time with my first child.
This game is a story-lite driven ASTEROIDS x VAMPIRE SURVIVORs style game. I hope to make a few more games set up in the kind of universe.
Click New Game to start a new game
Controls use ARROW key
Use the Space Key to fire in the Asteroids like mode.
If you prefer to jump into a more Vampire Survive like mode - then hit the 'Roguelike' button...
I'm still working on the aesthetics and sound, but hoping to achieve a retro, pixel-art synthwave aesthetic.
v0.3 --- Initial Web Build and more (recommend playing on Desktop)
- added keyboard controls for the menu
- added web build with emscripten
Note, the web build has issues with music, and mouse scaling
- added particle effects
- began to add the implementation for the boss in the asteroids mode, noting that this is not complete
- Implemented Dear Imgui (C-imgui with the Raylib backend to support development)
- menuing clean up (main menu, settings, and pause menu)
